The Nest is in full swing this summer as we are beating the heat with our cool new part-time staff members! Please welcome Emily Low, Taylor Puckett, Kelli Roy and Courtney Ballentine. They are here at various times during the week to help you with whatever you need.
Courtney Ballentine
Courtney Ballentine moved back to Little Rock from Chicago when the pandemic hit in 2020. She bought a house in Hillcrest and fixed it up and realized she actually had time to “nest” and create a new life in Little Rock. Erin Hohnbaum introduced Courtney to The Nest and thought it would be the perfect place for her to work as well as meet other like-minded women.
“I wanted to join The Nest team, specifically helping with events, so that I can work my normal hours with Hewlett-Packard, but have something to look forward to afterwards. There is a wonderful mixture of women at The Nest, and I believe there can be something alluring and available for every type of woman. I find joy in helping to strategize and plan events for all the women to enjoy, whether it’s a happy hour meetup, learning or partaking in a craft, community outreach or Nest at Night events. All of these social functions allow me to do something more productive with my time and energy and I am truly grateful for the opportunity.”
Emily Low
Emily is a senior at University of Missouri, where she is studying journalism and business. She is originally from Bethesda, Md., but has lived in Little Rock for more than 15 years and absolutely loves it. When Emily is not working or doing school work, she can be found spending time with her family, catching up with friends or watching “Real HouseWives of Beverly Hills.”
“I wanted to join The Nest staff because I love being surrounded by empowering and strong women. The staff and members at The Nest are some of the kindest and most hard-working women I have ever met, and I learn something new with every interaction here.”
Taylor Puckett
Taylor is an Arkansas native and loves being involved in the Central Arkansas community. She is a certified fitness instructor and has been teaching for the last three years. A fun fact about Taylor is that in her early 20s she worked for Erin Hohnbaum for five years at E. Leigh’s.
“Once seeing that The Nest was hiring, I knew it would be the perfect addition to my fitness career. I love to work in an environment that empowers others, and I value connecting with and learning from women of all ages and walks of life.”
Kelli Roy
Kelli Roy is also from Little Rock, and when she is away from The Nest, she spends the rest of her time as the awards events and marketing lead at Arkansas Business Publishing Group. She has coordinated several professional events for young professionals and C-Suite executives. Kelli enjoys hiking and traveling with her friends and family as well as finding ways to give back to her community.
“I wanted to join The Nest because I am passionate about women thriving in the workplace and bringing a seat to the table for my fellow sister. Erin Hohnbaum and Natalie Ghidotti have been great leaders in this space so I jumped at the opportunity to work with them.”
